Shastina Young - Branch Manager
"My career with Express Employment Professionals began the Summer of 2000. I was home for Summer Break and as a broke college student and I needed to find a job & make some money quickly! I was given the opportunity to temp as a Front Office Coordinator at the Milwaukie Express office and really enjoyed what I did. In May 2002, I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and contacted my friends at Express to help me find employment. A Staffing Consultant position was available and I couldn’t pass it up. Over the last 6 years, I have held a variety of roles within the organization-Front Office Coordinator, Staffing Consultant, including Onsite Manager, Office Manager and for the last 3 years Branch Manager of the Gresham location. When asked what I love about my job, I say it’s the challenge to connect companies with job seekers & see the partnerships that come out of those connections. It’s exciting to see companies grow & evolve and it’s always ever-changing! I am a member of the Gresham Chamber, West Columbia Gorge Chamber, Metro East Economic Council (MEEC) and in 2009 will become a “Big” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia NW program."
